Student Welfare Committee

The Student Welfare Committee was established at KBIHER on 20th September 2022 to create a supportive environment for students. It functions as a bridge between administration and students, addressing diverse needs through counselling, guidance, and fostering positive development.

Objectives

  • Recommend policies for student welfare and well-being
  • Promote a harmonious campus atmosphere for all students
  • Address student issues arising from current events and suggestions
  • Support students through counselling and various services
  • Recommend facility enhancements for a better student experience
  • Ensure a safe and secure campus environment
  • Cultivate personal responsibility and accountability among students

Functions of Student Welfare Committee

  • Resolve student community issues through structured dialogue
  • Facilitate Student Council elections and student representation
  • Coordinate examination-related welfare matters
  • Enroll first-year students in co-curricular activities
  • Manage ID cards, bus passes, and admission numbers
  • Coordinate infirmary services and facilitate hospitalisation when needed
  • Manage book bank programmes and scholarship coordination
  • Conduct orientation programmes and inter-departmental competitions
  • Monitor student facilities including medical, financial, and scholarship support
